You can change printing mode using the software delivered with your printer or you can use Properties on your printer in Printers menu. From that location, you can choose the way to print. Easiest way is to open a document or image and go to Print. Click on properties and you will have the possibility to change printing mode.
Go to HP Support page, select your operating system, click Next and download and install the product's drivers. If you don't know how to use the printer or the scanner, you can check the official user guide provided by Hewlett-Packard.
Go to http://www.hp.com/#Support - enter your printer name - download your driver software. In most cases I find it quicker to download the driver for my peripherals at once, instead of using the supplied DVD - it invariably needs an update anyway.
